Ocean El Faro is a beautiful hotel but they have a lot of work to do. I made a mistake by coming to a resort that just recently opened. I have stayed in several resorts in the Dominican Republic so I was expecting my experience to be excellent, but it was far from that. The air-conditioning in the room was not working from the first day we got into our room; I called the front desk several times and each time I was told someone would be right over to fix it; no one ever came. The service in the restaurants was also poor; our second night there my family and I went to the Romantic restaurant; we waited at least and hour before our order were taken; after two hours of waiting and no service, we finally just walked out. The employees really tried to do their best but in my opinion, they just didn't have enough personnel. In conclusion, I would never stay in a recently opened hotel.

We were in Uvero Alto for 6 days, had absolutely amazing stay, the hotel was clean with comfy and stunning location in a quite area. Location: the property was close enough to the beach and free drinks and a bars what is open from 11am till 11pm and restaurants for dinner. Uvero Alto district was worth exploring.
